A nationwide frenzy for fried chicken is outpacing Americans' fast-food favorite: the burger.
"Fried chicken is booming," industry analyst Darren Tristano said.
Crispy chicken is popping up everywhere -- from restaurants like Bruxie and Grits to fast-food chains such as Wendy's, Shake Shack and The Habit Burger Grill.
